CHEEK AND CHIN IMPLANTS

Cheek and chin implants are used to give greater projection in the cheekbone, chin and jaw areas, modifying the facial structure and highlighting areas that on occasion are poorly formed, and thus, have poor projection.

The one that’s used the most is the chin implant, and the results where it’s used are highly satisfactory. In the profile, it gives the appearance of a short face, and makes the face appear faint and adequately symmetrical to the rest of the face in relation to the projection given by the nose, and, at the same time, making it asymmetrical.

Procedure
The implants can be placed and withdrawn easily, or changed if the patient doesn’t feel comfortable with them. They’re usually placed by way of the oral cavity (between the gums and the cheeks).

In some cases, the longer chin implants, usually for men, are placed through a small incision in the skin under the chin.
