This facial rejuvenation surgery consists in repositioning sagging tissue suffered by facial skin, muscles and ligaments with the passing of time, to return a more youthful appearance to the patients, without modifying their face’s natural expression.

With the passing of time, the projection points that reflect youth in our faces lose volume, and the skin loses its properties, becoming more flaccid. Finally, the angles in our face deteriorate and fall to different degrees, until the skin is sagging; giving us signs of ageing that can only be repositioned with surgery.

There is no ideal age to indicate when facial rejuvenation should be performed, but in some patients, reconstruction with minimal incisions, called a mini lift, can be done starting at 40 or 45, without performing exhaustive skin detachment, just giving the face a small readjustment, preventing damage caused by sagging to continue, repairing and stopping signs of premature ageing right in that moment.

Pre-surgery assessment by a cardiologist is required before surgery in patients over 45. Safety and good planning is fundamental.

The surgery consists of a small incision from the front and middle of the ear, surrounding it and going back slightly into the hair.

Neck liposuction when needed, strategic tissue lifting and suspension, as well as removal of surplus skin in the neck and face.

In most cases we also perform eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) at the same time.
3-4 hours approximately.

Local anesthesia and sedation in most cases. General anesthesia when needed.
