LASER RESURFACING CO2

All lasers are an energy source that produces secondary heat, and the heat, applied gradually and uniformly on the skin, has been shown to have regenerative properties in elastic and collagen formation.

Because of this, carbon dioxide CO2 laser is used to improve tension when the skin is too flaccid in the face, neck, lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyelids and forehead. We can also improve stretch marks, scars and spots on the skin.

Procedure
Each patient must be evaluated and treated individually, because the graduation is different depending on the skin type, color, degree of flaccidity and the areas to be corrected with greater intensity.

Some patients may need more than one treatment. Results are really satisfactory going into the second week of recovery.
Duration
1 hour approximately.

Anesthesia
Local anesthesia is applied in most cases, and may be combined with superficial sedation.

Need for hospitalization
It’s done in an ambulatory OR and the patient goes home the same day.
Recovery
Care must be taken to keep the skin constantly hydrated with the appropriate gels in the first 5 days. Avoid sun exposure for 10 days. Use sun screen for a couple of months, every day.
